I. Product Composition

A multifunctional finishing solution was prepared by modifying polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride with synergistic cationic polymer.

II. Product Characteristics

1. PDL-40 contains highly active cationic genes and cross-linked adsorptive genes. It can cross-link with various kinds of fibers to form a solid cationic membrane, which can achieve wash-resistant, smooth, fluffy, anti-bacterial soft and plump feel effect.

2. It has excellent antimicrobial, bacteriostatic, sterilization, mite control, mildew control and odor control effects.

3. Sustainable, no heavy metals, no VOC emissions, environmentally friendly, degradable, non-allergic to skin, non-toxic, non-flammable, water-soluble.

4. PDL-40 has broad bactericidal spectrum, low MIC, fast acting speed, stable photothermal and chemical properties, soluble in water, can be used at room temperature, long-term bacteriostatic, no side effects and corrosiveness.

Ⅲ. Bactericidal mechanism of PDL-40

The main component of PDL-40 is the gene containing biguanidine hydrochloride. The guanidine group has high activity. The salt of PDL-40 makes the polymer positive, so it is easy to be absorbed by all kinds of bacteria, which are usually negative. The process of virus adsorption and sterilization is from one line to the changes of cytology and physiology, and ultimately leads to cell death.

IV. Scope of application

1. Textile industry: Anti-bacterial fluffy and soft finishing applied to textile dyeing and finishing can produce durable, soft and fluffy textile products with anti-bacterial and sterile properties. It is suitable for all kinds of pure cotton fibers and their blended fabrics, especially for the production of medical quilts, bedding and anti-bacterial underwear.

2. Hotel industry: PDL-40 products can effectively prevent the growth of mold in bedding, tablecloth and towel, and achieve long-term effective anti-mildew effect. Textile fiber products after finishing with PDL-40 have soft and fluffy texture, simple application and lasting effect. After more than 20 times of mechanical washing, they still maintain good anti-bacterial properties.

Ⅴ. Finishing Technology and Its Consumption

1. When setting, add PDL-40 with dosage o f 3%~5%(o.w.f) and dry at 130 ~160 (~2-3 min);

2. Pad dyeing with PDL-40, dosage 20-50 g/L, 130-160 C drying (2-3 min);

3. Antibacterial finishing of hotels and homes:

The dosage and use method of PDL-40 can be according to the dosage of routine household softener. Natural drying or washing machine drying can also achieve the effect of antimicrobial and sterilization.
